Tom Kemp Receives Commendations from the California Senate and Texas Senate
I am deeply honored to have recently received commendations from both the Texas Senate and the California Senate in the form of State Senate Resolutions as recognition for my work in contributing to the passage of state privacy laws in those respective states.
The California Senate Resolution was initiated by State Senator Josh Becker. In the Resolution, it commended me for my work in the passage of Proposition 24 (aka the California Privacy Rights Act) and the California Delete Act. Below is a picture of me holding the Resolution (it’s very pretty!) and a photo taken that same day of me with Senator Becker. My sincerest thanks to Senator Becker for this great honor and recognition.
The Texas Senate Resolution commends me for my assistance on Texas Senate Bill 2105 and was put forth by State Senator Nathan Johnson. I would like to sincerely thank Senator Johnson for this great honor, and also a big shout-out to the great team at Texas Appleseed who let me work with them in support of this bill. Below is a partial screenshot of the Resolution.
It is very humbling to be bestowed these honors for my work in State privacy policy.
